In his weekly mailbag today, Damien Cox has the following to say with regards to players like McCabe and Sundin wanting to stay in Toronto.
Moreover, I don’t necessarily believe its always an admirable quality to be always looking to join a team with a chance to win a championship. Sometimes it takes more guts and determination to try to be part of a solution to a problem.
So just so we're clear:
- A player who wants to stick with a team even though they lose all the time: "admirable"
- A fan who wants to stick with a team even though they lose all the time: delusional, dimwitted, "sucker"
Everyone got that?

We should beat up Damien Cox sometime.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we can put Tanya Harding on retainer
ReplyDeleteI think it would be ironic if a large crowd gathered around the fight, cheering enthusiastically as he was pummelled, only to have a semi-conscious Damien swear afterwards that real fans still don't like fighting.
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it.
ReplyDeleteWell, you can book Tanya Harding for events according to a website, but I thought she was on probation or something

Sad thing is, if the Leafs signed her she'd be about the third or fourth toughest player on the team.
